The Evening Standard is currently running a campaign on behalf of commuters. You can sign a petition online … BUT … where is the full-time commuter blog that hassled travellers can post to? The Standard could own commuting, but instead it just lets you post comments to news pieces. Get with the programme, guys…before someone else owns it.

More interesting is the low number of responses. One obviously doesn’t buy that rag every day – no matter the nice things they say about you, Adrian – but last night they had only around 600 responses. For a newspaper once synonymous with the commuting classes, that’s a pisspoor response rate.
Telegraph should have moved in perhaps – it is running a online rail campaign…but editors still don’t quite seem interested
They’ve actually had a board you can post to for a while now (http://chat.thisislondon.co.uk/london/forum.jsp?forum=35), although why they didn’t link to it from the article I don’t know.
Personally I stopped reading the Standard when the London Lite came out. If I see a headline that peaks my interest on the way home I just go look at their website :)
