Climate change

Post the IPCC report I checked in on the blog at Scientific American. There’s an interesting piece on the lack of irony among Rolling Stone readers. In response to a playlist called Al Gore was wrong, some RS posters let rip:

Which one of the following theories is without merit?
A) Einstein’s Theory of Relativity
B) Gore’s Theory of Global Warming
C) Darwin’s Theory of Evolution

Global warming is far down on the list of hobgoblins that threaten both individuals and society as a whole. The seeming consensus regarding the need to decrease CO2 emissions is morally bankrupt as well as patently unscientific.

I’m old enough to remember the 70’s, when decreasing global temperatures led my professors to declare we were headed for a new “Ice Age”.

Global warming or not , I know that nature has a way of balancing itself out.

global warming….yeah ok….seriously….who believes in that shit..it is completely UNPROVEN…for every scientist who says it exists..ill produce one who doesnt…

This Global Warming thing will blow over 10 to 20 yrs, tops.

People who believe Al Gore and his fable of Global Warming, let alone selling out to buy his DVD, are suffering from a mental disorder known as liberalism.

Don’t tell me driving a hummer has any effect on how hot the sun gets evey couple of thousand years. Why do leftists feel the need to hate on the human race so much?

Global warming is another scare tactic. However hot or cold the planet gets, man will adapt – just as we have been doing throughout history.

Having recently read Michael Chrichton’s novel, “State of Fear”, I have reconsidered my position on global warming. I have followed up on Crichton’s many citations of scientific documents and journals and found them to be mainstream and credible.

Al Gore blames us. What an idiot!!!

What can you say…the potential for rational persuasion?
