The House of Lords celebrity media mud wrestling inquiry comes to a fitting end on Tuesday, 20 May.
According to the press release, the House of Lords Communications Committee will wrap up their inquiry into media ownership and the news by hearing from Lord Rothermere, Chairman of Associated Newspapers and Sly Bailey, Chief Executive of Trinity Mirror.
Lord Rothermere, who will give evidence alongside Charles Sinclair and Kevin Beatty of Associated Newspapers, will be asked about his role of Chairman of the company and about how the different parts of the media group including, Associated Newspapers and Northcliffe, interact.
Lord Rothermere will also questioned on how editorial
groupthinkindependence is protected on his newspapers.Sly Bailey, who will appear alongside Paul Vickers of Trinity Mirror, will be asked about
managing declinethe influence of Trinity Mirror Board on the content of newspapers in their group and for her views on regulation and consolidation in the newspaper industry.The
funevidence session will start at 10:15am on Tuesday 20 May in Committee Room 2A of the House of Lords.The
