One of my guilty RSS pleasures is Intern Alexis at Gawker and her weekly rating of weddings reported in the New York Times (previously satirised here), and more recently the New York Post.

Sadly the absence of such public nuptial reportage in the UK denies social satirists valuable additional material.

But seriously, are there not opportunities for papers, especially local ones, and TV too, to get in on the action? Or is it … a veil-ure of imagination?
