It began with a &#8216;reconstruction.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>From the &#8216;reconstruction&#8217; you might have thought the child lived in a privileged, well-decorated home. Is that right? My hunch is that it would be quite, quite wrong.<\/p>\n<p>On the left is an illustration from one of <b>Joseph Pulitzer<\/b>&#8216;s papers &#8211; <i>The World<\/i>.
