Having just acquired the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BlackBerry 8800<\/span> with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">GPS<\/span>, I try it out. The GPS recognizes satellites, movement etc. but no <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">bbmaps<\/span>. I do a little internet hunting and the online consensus appears to be that my problem is with the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">TCP<\/span> settings in Options\/Advanced Options. My default <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">APN<\/span> is internet.com, with password and username blank, and that is no good. The post I find suggests a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">T-mobile<\/span> setting, but that too is duff.<\/p>\n<p>So I call the oxymoronic <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">T-mobile Support<\/span> line and &#8211; on my third attempt &#8211; ask them what the T-mobile APN setting should be to get my GPS working. They don&#8217;t know and ask their crackberry support team. After &#8220;an internet search&#8221; (!) they tell me the problem is something to do with the TCP and APN settings, but this is BlackBerry&#8217;s problem not theirs and they really don&#8217;t know. They give me a toll number for BlackBerry in the US.<\/p>\n<p>I do another online search and find APN: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">general.t-mobile.uk<\/span>, password and username left blank.
