{"id":796,"date":"2008-01-25T08:11:00","date_gmt":"2008-01-25T07:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/adrianmonck.com\/?p=796"},"modified":"2009-05-13T21:21:40","modified_gmt":"2009-05-13T20:21:40","slug":"four-types-blogger-davos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adrianmonck.com\/about\/2008\/01\/four-types-blogger-davos\/","title":{"rendered":"The four types of blogger at Davos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"drop_cap\">T<\/span>he <strong><em>Telegraph<\/em><\/strong> may have <strong>Martin Sorrell<\/strong> and <strong>Ben Verwaayen<\/strong> blogging from here in <strong>Davos<\/strong>, but the <strong>FT<\/strong> is covering the waterfront with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/davosblog\">half a dozen or so blogging participants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s an interesting piece on <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ft.com\/davosblog\/2008\/01\/swfs-can-beggar.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sovereign Wealth Funds<\/a> from <strong>Stephen Roach<\/strong> of Morgan Stanley.<\/p>\n<p>But broadly the wider Davos blogging canvas looks like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>faux<\/em> modest self-censors<\/strong> (politicians\/some CEOs)<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><strong>self-serving agenda-pushers<\/strong> (NGO types\/some CEOs\/think tankers)<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><strong>insightful insiders<\/strong> (some economists)<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><strong>informed observers<\/strong> (pot luck\/some journos)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So the <em><strong>Telegraph<\/strong><\/em>, with two bloggers, gets a 50 per cent strike rate (thanks to Sorrell).
